OUR IDYLLIC WEDDING VENUE
Atlantic Health & Spa, set in the grounds of Houghton Hall in the heart of the Stour Valley, is currently taking bookings for 2011 summer weddings and parties.
Our oak-beamed hall can accommodate up to 75 for a wedding ceremony. We can offer a sit down wedding breakfast for 40 and a buffet reception for 100.
We pride ourselves in being able to deliver bespoke weddings. Each event is organised by Jane Southin, our experienced party and wedding planner, who
will plan your big day with you and help you find and work with all the suppliers from florists to caterers to discos and decorators. There is only one event per day so we can style the day, just the way you want it.
The lush grounds of Houghton Hall offer beautiful photo opportunities. There’s a picturesque, trellised pergola across a moat, a beautiful round pond next to the oak-beamed hall and superb views from the lawn across the fields.
Our very special bonus offer: the bride-to-be can take advantage of a free two-week pre-wedding membership at our luxury Atlantic Health & Spa in the run up to the big day. And don't forget the hen party – Atlantic offers wonderful full and half-day packages for brides and their friends.
HEN PARTIES
Many hens like to spend the day with their friends and family at the spa having treatments, lunch and relaxing.
With parties of 6 the bride even goes free.
BRIDAL SPA MEMBERSHIP
As one of our brides you receive a bridal membership for 2 weeks before the wedding. This allows you to use the pool, thermal area and gym. You may also book yourself a treatment to relax and be pampered in the run up to the big day.
THE CEREMONY
This room is ideal for intimate ceremonies.
You may hire the room for ceremony only. Drinks and canapies can be served in the courtyard after the event.
You must contact our local registrar at Sudbury for dates and times on 01787 314050. The ceremony can take place at anytime from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
You can use the the lovely setting for all your marriage photographs.
THE WEDDING RECEPTION
Our goal is to provide you with the wedding of your dreams. We will work with you to create the menu and the style of service and reception that is just right for your big day. We are flexible and can create different themes depending on what you want, even in time for this summer.
On the night itself, drinks and canapés can be served in the walled courtyard
or cafe area before dinner is served in the hall.
With such a relaxed environment we are perfectly suited to hog roasts and barbeques as well as buffets.
We have an alcohol license and can source wines and champagnes to your choice and budget.

WEDDING PARTY
The oak-beamed hall is perfect for an intimate party and for celebrations of up to 100 people.
Music
There is space for a small band or disco and a dance area.
Buffet
We can provide a cold fork or finger buffet and a cash bar
Timing
Your party can go until midnight and the bar is licensed to 11.30pm

WEDDINGS AT HOUGHTON HALL
The perfect place for a special event, Houghton Hall is the ideal setting for both small weddings and larger receptions.
