HOW WE DEFINE "YOUTH."
JAMsj Youth acts as a catalyst for youth by stimulating self and community awareness, creating and preserving arts and culture, and encouraging active leadership as it relates to the Japanese-American experience.
We often hear that "youth" are our future, but much of the time they seem to be left out of the spotlight unless they are in a new blockbuster movie or win a Nobel prize. We want to bring youth back to the forefront.
When we say youth we mean those between the ages of 15 and 25. This is a wide range from just entering high school to just graduated graduate school.
The youth of our community have bright ideas and can help the community progress into the future.
After nearly four years the newly remodeled museum is now open.
