Gleaners Food Bank
Mr. Alan's will be partnering up with Pelle Pelle & Gleaners Food Bank. Gleaners collects and distributes over 40 million pounds of food annually, providing more than 30 million meals to our neighbors in need. The 8 Mr. Alan's Michigan locations will have food drop boxes where the community can donate food to people in need!
Mr. Alan's Will be donating approx $20,000 of worth of Women's clothing....
to The Haven Shelter in Pontiac MI which houses survivors of abuse
Mr. Alan's employees spent a day volunteering to help blightbusters in their continuing efforts to clean up, beautify, and revitalize the neighborhoods of Detroit.
In the spring of 2011, Mr. Alan's joined Converse at the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan. Converse donated over 200 pair of shoes to the kids and Mr. Alan's employee volunteers made sure the shoes fit the kids perfectly. The kids were also surprised with a visit from Mr. Alan's mascot!
Mr. Alan's was the primary sponsor in the DPS's "I'm In" event. "I'm In" is a student retention campaign aimed at stopping the steady decline in student enrollment and safeguarding the resources needed to provide quality education for thousands of DPS students. Mr. Alan's donated school uniform shirts and backpacks to DPS students.
Detroit Metro Youth Day is the largest youth event in Michigan. For 29 years this event has continued to grow and provide upbeat messages and encouragement to youth. Mr. Alan's was on site giving away Pelle Pelle shoes to qualifying scholastic worthy children.
