"Immediately useful!"
Q: How is business like bread?
A: Quality, mastery and freshness make all the difference. These are key ingredients of every BIG Project and the work we do with our clients.
Save yourself some serious dough with
BIG Projects:
Just as you might renovate your house (or have it renovated) to make it more workable, improve your enjoyment of it, and/or add to its value or appeal, renovation is relevant for your established business whether it is:
Simply contact us to enquire about renovation for your business. An initial conversation is obligation and cost free.
Consider this... Of all the things you could do to markedly improve your business, which are most important, in which order of priority, who do you need around you to get them done (cohesively) and - defining this as a project - how soon could the project be done and the results apparent?
BIG Projects will bring insight, connections and commitment to your business renovation opportunities and projects, with a proven, highly respectful style; fully focused on helping to make the most of your enterprise.
Every established business needs to renovate. None of our businesses grows perfectly and, as nothing operates in isolation (marketing, systems, finances, products, people etc) a collaborative and cohesive appropach is required. That's what BIG Projects will bring to your projects, big or small.
Feedback from a one-day renovation session: "An amazing day! Some of the biggest impacts for us came from a casual conversation in one of the breaks. Given what we'd been learning, that set off a series of light bulb moments which we went straight out and implemented. Certainly revs the brain up into another gear!" Paul and Debbie Vickers, mbar, Te Awamutu.
"Thanks for showing us it's not hard. Just one project at a time, just 8 weeks, then the next 8 weeks and so on. This has been great for us. A great opportunity to learn and grow." Teresa Bowe, Belt Road Seaside Holiday Park, New Plymouth (Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year 2011)
About BIG Projects
Some 600 businesses NZ-wide have now taken part in our business renovation related events and just under $2million of contributed expertise, products and services have been negotiated to support improvement projects.
Since 2007 owner managers from industries as diverse as bio-technology, aviation, food, education, tourism, hospitality, fitness, retail, music, property services, drug detection, software development, manufacturing and engineering have worked to improve their businesses with us, experiencing first hand the effectiveness of clarity, well-executed collaboration and a time frame.
Renaming from E2theMax (effective to the max) to BIG Projects in late 2011 reflects the clarity that comes with over 10,000 hours of development and delivery; working with, and assisting clients to get clear and get going toward greater stability, smarter growth, stronger performance and wider recognition.
________
The company is lead by Jacqui Jones who brings 30 years of diverse experience and innovation to all BIG projects.
Jacqui first encountered the stats of private enterprise failure to thrive in 1996 when she was 14 years into an accelerating corporate career. Concerned at the impact on individuals, communities and the overall economy, Jacqui left her role as head of production in NZ's second largest advertising agency and set out to make a difference.
Three new ventures later (each successfully developed and on sold) and continually motivated to make a practical, sustainable difference, Jacqui created an annual Business Challenge to introduce business renovation concepts and tools and provide a much-needed boost for Kiwi businesses.
Over 10,000 hours went into developing and delivering The Challenge nationwide between 2008 and 2011. The outcomes proved the effectiveness of well-executed collaboration and the usefulness of the BIG Projects' 5 stages of business renovation model for business improvement.
Colleagues
Your business, every business has a team which includes people inside the business and those whose expertise, products or services are brought in as required. Their effectiveness (or otherwise) at cohesively covering at least the fundamental13 areas of business development and operation will clearly show up when key indicators of productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction and staff retention are examined.
BIG Projects is non-prescriptive about who your team should include. We don't work on a sub-contractor basis or clip any tickets and we are always your advocate for best performance. In many cases we find that a client's existing suppliers of expertise, products and services welcome the opportunity to work more collaboratively and cohesively together - it makes their job easier and more satisfying, while saving you time, money and hassle.
We are happy to introduce you to colleagues we trust when we think there's a fit. BIG Projects colleagues (click images above for details) each provide expertise that improves business and/or professional effectiveness; they've shown they work collaboratively and cohesively on well-managed projects and, it has to be said this is make or break for us - they are highly likeable :-) (A great foundation for working together and one we highly recommend.)
In summary: A business that's focused on improvement needs a well-managed team that's focused on improvement; one that collaborates and communicates to get the best results with the least money, time and hassle. Knowing how to create and sustain a highly functional team as you work through the 5 stages of business renovation with us (to suss, sort, simplify, systemise and sell more, more efficiently and profitably) will be enduringly useful to you and your business.
"This works."
10,000 hours developing and delivering a business renovation initiative that's attracted over 600 Kiwi businesses of various ages, stages and industries NZ-wide throughout 2008-2011 has proven the effectiveness of collaboration and cohesion in well-managed projects and the value of 'the 5 stages of business renovation' as a framework. Over 4 years, we've received an enormous amount of feedback, here is a sample:
"The experience has been amazing."
Cheree Menzies, Feats, Taranaki 2011
"Thanks for showing us it's not hard. Just one project at a time, just 8 weeks, then the next 8 weeks and so on. This has been great for us. A great opportunity to learn and grow. Everybody wins." Teresa Bowe, Belt Road Seaside Holiday Park, Taranaki 2011
"The Challenge is a great concept; from even just the Supercircuit and Masterclass I learnt heaps. After getting ideas from the one:one Supercircuit it was surprising how information dropped into place with each expert adding a little more to the picture. After completing these events, I came away with a good idea of what we could achieve over the next part of The Challenge journey." Neville Burt, Zing Bokashi, Pleasant Point 2010
"The Challenge Supercircuit and Masterclass were fab. Had a ball. As a business owner I can't think of any time when I could present my business to such a diverse, capable, skilled and attentive group who want to help. Immensely useful. Loved the chance to sit down with each expert, here was incredible value in that alone. Also great to swap notes with such a diverse group of motivated people. There was a feeling of genuine support and encouragement and I spent the whole of Sunday working in the garden with my head crammed full of ideas and insights. Now I can sit down and get to work on the upcoming project plan. Can't wait! Really looking forward to getting stuck in and moving things up a gear or five." Richard Horne, managemyproperty, Wellington 2010
"I had a great time at the Challenge Supercircuit and Masterclass!!! I have so much to do, (not daunting amount just an exciting amount) and want to get started!!" Frances McInnes, Breastmates, Cambridge 2010
"What an inspiring couple of days [The Challenge Supercircuit and Masterclass]!! Not just the knowledge of the experts or the format of the days but the overall way it revved the brain into another gear!! Some of the biggest impacts have been inspired by an aside remark during casual conversation that then set off a series of light bulb moments. This morning we had balloons up in the lunch room and a morning tea shout on the table to celebrate with everyone that we had the best April in history and exceeded our budget. Learning the compelling pitching technique and then being able to put that into action and see results has made a huge difference to our business." Paul and Debbie Vickers, mbar, Te Awamutu 2010
"I'm struck by the tangible sense of team and achievement in this room." Jo Dryden of Hawke's Bay Today speaking at the 2008 Reveal, Hawke's Bay Today, Team Member
"We've worked with some amazing businesses and have been really encouraged by their support and enthusiasm to help us with our transformation. We've been constantly blown away by the generousity and the lengths that the team members have gone to to help us achieve our goals. The Challenge has been a challenge at times, but what we've achieved in just a few weeks would have taken us 12 months to do otherwise. It's been very rewarding and very exciting." Abbie Single of MR Print, Hawke's Bay 2008
