To create strong relationships with social entrepreneurs in order to facilitate our intended charitable projects that make a better life for people in our community at a local, national, or even international level.
Every great Non Profit begins with big ideas; the ability to identify a problem in the community and find a creative solution. We believe AIDS and Cancer are the greatest challenges still affecting our community today. We are developing new methods to educate, contribute funding and spread awareness through the internet and personal outreach. Ideation is a team sport; many brains are better than one, so everyone gets in on the game. Project AIDS and Cancer, a project of United Charitable Programs, Inc – a registered 501(c)(3) charity is dedicated to raise money for the continued research of AIDS & Cancer which may well be affecting the lives of friends and loved ones.
Garrett Wiseman
Founder/CEO
As Founder and CEO Garrett Wiseman delivers over eight years experience of substantial management and organizational leadership to the organization. Prior to initiating Project AIDS and Cancer, Garrett developed extensive experience in sales and marketing at leading firms like Applied Perceptions, and Intelligent Beauty. His main function was providing outsource call center services, consulting, customer service, public relations, marketing and sales services.
Garrett is a firm believer of zagging when everyone else is zigging; he knows the only one way to make a dream a reality is by simply doing it despite the odds. His philanthropist spirit inspired founding of Project AIDS and Cancer in 2008 with business colleague Jairo Mazariegos; Founder/Executive Director, based on the continuing needs of AIDS and Cancer through out our communities. In addition to his work, Garrett remains an active board member with Guide Dogs for the Blind and IBCares; a sub-deity and private charity of Intelligent Beauty whose mission is helping other charities with fundraising, food drives and donating of their own products for the cause.
Garrett is currently working on his Sign Language Interpreter Degree which he will implement in his involvement with NAD and Mute organizations; another extension of his deep desire in looking for dynamic ways to helping people.
Jairo Mazariegos
Founder/Executive Director
With a solid corporate and business background based on working with health giants such as Quest Diagnostics and Kaiser Permanente over the last 10 years, Founder and Executive Director Jairo Mazariegos oversees all administrative, logistical, compliance, project, and major event planning for Project AIDS and Cancer. In addition, he provides Public Relations expertise by overseeing strategic planning, developing mutually beneficial relationships, and working closely with sponsoring companies on fundraising events.
Project AIDS and Cancer holds a special place in Jairos heart. Following in his familys footsteps (the Mazariegos family is well-known and respected for their generous contributions and work for the community), Jairos longstanding desire to make a difference in his community by assisting those in need became focused in the present direction after his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008, the same year he founded the organization with Garrett Wiseman; Founder/CEO. He is passionate for developing the great potential of the organization and making it into a premier benefactor to the community.
In addition to his work with Project AIDS and Cancer, Jairo is very involved with his community. He serves as Secretary for Channel Islands Yacht Club, is an active member and associate of MOLAA (Museum of Latin American Art), and sponsor for Channel Islands Restoration.
