The Nevada Tavern Owners Association (NTOA) is comprised of a statewide network of professional tavern owners who maintain high standards in terms of quality, service, and business responsibility.
Our mission is to represent our members at the state, city and county level regarding important legislative issues and to continually develop the resources and services needed to help our members run a successful tavern business.
Established in 1975, the NTOA has provided a unified voice for the industry by representing its membership on issues related to state legislative regulations, workplace safety, slot & gaming operations and tax-based issues. It is the only association of its kind in Nevada representing you, the tavern owner.
The Bulletin
When information is important to your business, the Nevada Tavern Owners Association is often the first to provide comprehensive details from the tavern owner's perspective. These reports can be e-mailed, mailed and/or handed out at monthly meetings.
Industry Tips
Sometimes The Bulletin is intended to provide capsulated information that summarizes a particular subject such as Worker's Compensation or increased liabilities resulting from the new .08 limits. Other times, it may include information on how to host a multi-location promotion or provide a success checklist for taverns to use as a benchmark.
Regulation Updates
The NTOA also uses The Bulletin to explore the real impacts that new gaming and liquor legislation and taxation may have on your establishment before such bills are passed into law. Or, they may include pressing news related to legal issues being pursued by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI).
Insider News
The Nevada Tavern Owners Association offers on-demand resources when you ned them most. These include industry white papers, which consolidate information relatedto the industry, and Fax Alerts that bring immediate attention to the news you can use.
MEMBER MEETINGS & EVENTS
Look for updates on member mixers and events in your member e-newsletter.

To develop a powerful network of business owners and professionals who are dedicated to the welfare and improvement of economic and regulatory climates for taverns throughout the state of Nevada; and to support the success of tavern owners who maintain high standards by providing education, information, partnering opportunities, and collective negotiation in every area of the industry.
"Serving Those Who Serve Others"
Nevada Tavern Owners Association is comprised of tavern owners and industry vendors throughout the state.
Tavern membership is available to businesses who sell alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a gaming license, and have 10 to 35 slot machines.
Industry vendors also have the opportunity to join NTOA through our Associate membership. Associate members have members only access to tavern owners through networking and advertising opportunites offered exclusively by Nevada Tavern Owners Assciation. With these connections, associate members can work hand-in-glove with tavern members to grow their own client base while strengthening the industry as a whole.
The NTOA Board of Directors is comprised of tavern owners and operators who volunteer their time and resources to representing the tavern industry throughout Nevada.
These elected officials work tirelessly fighting for pro-tavern legislation while monitoring the pulse of the industry. They come together monthly to review any industry related information and report relevent information back to the members as needed.

The Nevada Taverns Owners Association provides members in Nevada with access to affordable health care plans.
While this benefit is optional, it does offer tavern owners an opportunity to leverage membership and receive better rates than if they negotiated on their own. For several members, the savings they receive on health care services far exceeds membership dues.
Rates are comparable to those negotiated by larger companies. Dental and vision plans are also available.
The American Beverage Licencees (ABL) represents NTOA members' interest at the federal level in Washington D.C.
Your membership in the Nevada Tavern Owners Association also includes membership in the ABL, which is the nation's largest trade association representing nearly 18,000 beer, wine and spirits retailers in the United States. This association and it's online database provide a wealth of resources for tavern owners.
The Nevada Tavern Owners Association has partnered with an insurance company to secure the best rates for mandatory Worker's Compensation insurance.
While this benefit is optional, members who take advantage of the NTOA worker's compensation insurance receive better service and lower rates than if they negotiated their own policies.
The Nevada Tavern Owners Association provides a professional network of the most recognized and respected tavern owners in Nevada. Membership automatically provides you access to the collective experience of all our members.
NTOA members and affiliates frequesntly share new ideas, fresh insights, and problem solving solutions with other members; information that they would not otherwise share outside of the NTOA.
As a member of the NTOA you have access to a diverse number of education and training opportunities for tavern owners and managers, including periodic workshops that go beyond the information shared during regular monthly meetings.
Some workshops hosted by the NTOA include bringing in experts in a particular subject to provide unique perspectives.
Your membership networking benefits include the association's annual resource guide which features:
~ A comprehensive listing of all current
NTOA members
~ Important government and regulatory
contacts and phone numbers
~ Associate member names and phone
numbers (vendor products / services)
~ Resources to answer frequently asked
questions
~ Many of these vendors also offer product
or service discounts.
Regardless of which workshops you attend, there are several throughout the year that will increase your knowledge of trends impacting the tavern industry.
"By and far the most valuable resource for tavern owners in the state of Nevada"
"I have remianed a member because of the great people I have met and the vast amount of information that I would otherwise not have access to"
"My NTOA membership has paid for itself many times over... the organization has been very valuable to me and I am grateful for all that I've learned over the years."
"Rounders Grilling & Gaming Co. has been in operation since 2001. Since opening, our organization has been a proud member of the Nevada Tavern Owners Association.
The many resources provided by the N.T.O.A. have proven to be quite useful to our business on numerous occasions throughout that time. Having a centralized resource that can provide ready answers to some of our unique operating challenges is a tremendous help in times of uncertainty. Given the decline in our local economy over the last few years combined with changing laws impacting taverns, the value of the N.T.O.A. as an organization has increased dramatically.
The consistent communication and updates of legislation on the State and Federal level have obviously been a main area of focus in recent years. The recent passage of AB571 regarding the rights of smokers in our establishments have had a huge positive impact on our rights to conduct business in the traditional sense. That act alone demonstrates just one benefit of the tireless efforts the N.T.O.A. performs on behalf of its members.
At the local level, regular email updates of robberies & other criminal activity prompts our management team to be on the lookout for specific individuals or scams that could potentially impact our taverns. The resulting network of fellow tavern owner/operators also provides a wealth of knowledge representing decades of experience in our unique line of business that exists nowhere else.
Additionally the N.T.O.A.s associate membership of vendors, service providers and contractors also gives us a ready resource for services that have a tried & true track record.
As commentary is limited, I can simply sum it all up by saying that after 10 years as members of the N.T.O.A. we are very pleased with the many benefits of membership."
