Michelle Ballard specializes in creative, non-traditional portraiture of families, landscapes, macro and fine art photography throughout the Northern Kentucky area.
My photographic style is relaxed and natural. I make people feel comfortable and in return I am able to capture their genuine expressions on film.
A meaningful location is an important ingredient for a great portrait, so I photograph at a site that is special to you. For example, the beach, a favorite park, your home, or some other meaningful place.
Most sessions last about an hour. This gives us plenty of time to try a variety of poses and natural backgrounds and you'll get lots of great photos to choose from. If you have children, I allow time for them to become comfortable with me. I believe in capturing children being children, not just quick posed smiles. One customer was viewing her proofs and her eyes got all misty. She said, "You captured the essence of my children." That's what its all about.
I want your portraits to be perfect, so I attend to all the details, from lighting and composition to proofing and development. I had such a great time with the Carnes Family yesterday! The wind was blowing hard but it only added more to the pictures. I loved that the family dogs got involved!! Yea Butler and Brutus!!
