Bridgewater-Raritan School District, NJThe Bridgewater-Raritan (BR), New Jersey School District adopted the SEE Program in 2007 with 11 buildingsThe Districts energy conservation performance with SEE produced over $300,000 savings in year one and is tracking for more than $400,000 savings in year two.The District averaged $30,000 in electric & gas savings per school building in the first yearThese behavioral induced savings represent a 10% to 15% reduction in BRs annual energy budgetThe return on investment (ROI) in BR was 5:1 for the first yearBR School District produced the first ENERGY STAR® school in the State of New Jersey, Milltown Primary SchoolThe district also received the first ENERGY STAR Leader Award in the state for 10% continuous improvement in energy savingsThe student body, teacher and administrator support and enthusiasm has created a new atmosphere and culture toward energy use.BR has enthusiastically expanded the program for at least two more years.
