The Intercultural Club is an organization at College of the Siskiyous, where students on campus can come together and become a part of a family. This club is not just about race and ethnicity, but it's about the appreciation of different cultures. This club likes to acknowledge themselves as "The Salad Bowl" rather than a "Melting Pot". America has been perceived as the "Melting Pot" because people of different cultures are mixed together in our communities. Being acknowledged as "The Salad Bowl" represents the individuality of each person in our commnities, like being a seperate vegetable or fruit in a salad bowl. Despite the differences within the bowl, each component makes a salad whole!
The mission of the intercultural club is to bring people of different cultures together and promote a sense of pride within ourselves.
