Airshows
During the course of the year I usually visit a number of airshows across the country. These include Cosford, Waddington and Fairford.
One of my earliest memories is sitting in the back of a car in the early 80's in the pouring rain stuck in a queue trying to get out of RAF St. Mawgan!
Fairford hosts the Royal International Air Tattoo every year and invites air forces from the globe to attend what most people consider to be the highlight of the airshow calendar. However, in recent years it has become more and more commercialised and the focus has switched from entertaining the public to a more corporate event. Even the smaller events lack the participation they once had, a sign of the times I guess.
