General Aviation
The galleries on the left show some of the aviation pictures that I have taken at various locations throughout the UK.
Wales is a favourite area that I visit occasionally to observe low flying RAF training which produces some spectacular photo opportunities!
Being at Bangor University for three years meant that I was close to RAF Valley (and the low flying areas!). I visited there a few times (when not studying, of course!) and also went to a couple of photocall events which allow the enthusiast to get up close to visiting aircraft.
Shortly before the RAF's fleet of Jaguar aircraft were retired in 2007, I visited RAF Coningsby on a Jaguar enthusiast open day, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Shortly after this event, the Jaguars were flown in to RAF Cosford for storage/ground training. I was there on two occasions to witness the sad but memorable event.
In the general aviation section are pictures that don't really fit anywhere else - a visit the the West Midlands Police Helicopter HQ and also some pictures I took when flying back from Sweden in 2008!
