As members, we value your opinion and would like to build on the momentum and efforts of seasons past. This is an opportunity to offer constructive input with your thoughts of club functions and operations, as well as to discuss upcoming events. Perhaps you may also have ideas on new events or tournaments.All discussions will be carefully considered and taken into account. For individuals who may not want to voice their thoughts themselves during the meeting, we encourage the opportunity to express your ideas in an email that can be brought up for discussion anonymously during the meeting.Again, we would like to express our gratitude in the commitment you've made as members and we look forward to building the 2012 season to the best it can be.

MBAA General Meetings (1512 Regent Ave W-Smitty's 7:30PM) December 7 - Jeff Gustafson Gussy is a multi-species guide, outdoor writer, promoter and tournament angler from Kenora, Ontario. He specializes in bass and is a winner of multiple bass tournaments across Northwestern Ontario and Minnesota, including the Kenora Bass International twice. He also hosts his own television program called Fishing with Gussy that will begin airing in January 2012. Also in 2012, Jeff is planning to fish four FLW Tour Open tournaments at Lake Okeechobee, the Detroit River, Wheeler Lake and Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Member of the Year - Possibly 'The Greatest Manitoban Award' Out There!

The most prestigious trophy in Manitoba bass fishing history will again be awarded to the greatest MBAA member. An award that recognizes skill, dedication, commitment, camaraderie and a willingness to promote fishing ethics and personal experiences. The upcoming MBAA event and tournament calendar will see members from both Manitoba and Ontario running a demanding, yet rewarding, gauntlet in efforts to get their grubby hands on this famed award.

So How do I Win the Hardware? First, you must become a member. Then, by attending and participating in club events, tournaments, and seminars, you will gain points towards an invite to the Tournament of Champions. Only the top 5 point leading members will be invited to a top secret location to compete in a "show-down-fish-off-all-expenses-paid" event. The winner of the Tournament of Champions becomes the MBA Member of the Year, and undoubtedly, will hail the MBA trophy and be recognized for this remarkable achievement.

And to keep the excitement, suspense and anticipation amongst fellow members leading up to the Tournament of Champions, the event winner will not be made public until the MBAA Gala and Awards Night.
