Hythe flyers is the junior section of Hythe Sailing Club. Run by the kids for the kids, with some useful adults, we get together for dinghy sailing & socials.

Thank you to all the parents who helped out at the wash-up pizza & film evening. It was great to get feedback from you all about what you want to happen in 2011 too!

Big thanks to Andrew for de-rigging & maintaining all the dinghies, anyone who fancies joining us on nov 21st to wash & checkover the sails will be welocomed with open arms!!!

Page 2 Based at Hythe Sailing Club, on Shore Road, Hythe, Hampshire. Between Hythe Marine Park & the Sea Scouts. We are ideally based for water activities. Close to the shore the venue is well sheltered from most directions, giving ideal conditions for learning. Further out is better for racing & improving.
We use several types of dinghy at the club, including Toppers, Picos & Feva's, to take you from a basic beginner to a race pro!

7-8th May Sailing Camp
A full weekend to get everyone together & refresh a few memories! Staying overnight at the club. More details will be in the upcoming events section nearer the time.
21st May Open Afternoon
Bring a friend along for the afternoon & show them what hythe Flyers is all about! Taster sessions in the training boats & have a go at multihull sailing & flying spinakers! £5 for non members.
18-19th June Regatta
Come & join in with the sailing clubs annual regatta madness with games & racing. There will be some Hythe Flyers specific sctivities.
3-4th September Mad Exped.
Taking the wayfarers, we intend to head for Calshot Activities Centre for a weekend of sailing, camping & team building fun. There will be an extra charge for this, details tbc nearere the time...
25th September Wash-up & BBQ
Following the last training session, join us for a wash-up & tell us what you thought of the summers events.

Page 3 We are more active in the summer for obvious reasons! However, we like to meet up every now & then during the winter season to socialise & organise the coming summer season.
During the summer we meet for training every sunday either in the morning or afternoon depending on tides. Plans are afoot to start practise sessions - sessions when there is an instructor & saftey boat available but a structured session is not run - inbetween the training sessions. These will be tide & weather dependant.
