Hutano is an organisation that views education as one of the many ways of rebuilding Zimbabwe.
In late October, the College hosted a delegation from the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ). Throughout the week, the visitors attended committee meetings and discussed the unique challenges of practising and regulating medicine in Zimbabwe. At a Dinner held in their honour by ZimAlternative, a local Zimbabwean Community Organisation, the doctors highlighted the plight of the University of Zimbabwe College of Health. The College lacked in Books, Current Journals and educational materials.
With this in mind, Hutano was formed to alleviate this challenge.
