NEWS and events
H.O.P.E. is expanding its reach everyday. With the
help of teachers, staff, and parents, H.O.P.E. can become a very valuable program, making a difference in the lives of OJHS students.
WHAT we do
H.O.P.E. is a program that monitors its students on a daily basis to ensure that their schoolwork is being completed and their grades are satisfactory.
WHO we help
H.O.P.E. targets "at risk" 7th and 8th grade Hispanic students at Oakdale Junior High School.
"At risk" students are those in danger of failing one or more of their classes, becoming ineligible for sports programs, or who need a little extra support.
ABOUT
OUR mission statement
Our goal at H.O.P.E. is to raise grades as well as self esteem, and to teach students how to make the right decisions every day.
HOW it works
Students will be responsible for checking in with Hector before school. They must show their completed homework, as well as an up-to-date daily planner.
All students in the H.O.P.E. program are advised to attend the OASIS after school tutoring program.
