HRC+MUN
Human Relations Council and Model United Nation
HRC
The purpose of the Human Relations Council is to learn and share with other club members cultural, ethnicity and heritage backgrounds and play a role in intermedial relations and international affairs. We educate students on cultural and ethnic heritages of the PBHS student population through activities, social action, and community service. This helps students gain knowledge of importance of diversity through cooperation and self-awareness.
Model UN is PBHS's mock version of the United nation. This allows our members to gain a perspective of the the actual United Nations and it's efforts in facilitating international law and security, economic development, social progress, human rights and overrall world peace. Our members take part by selecting their own country and representating its values and creating their own constituition. The club also participates in active debates on national and international matters, community service, and fundraising for charities and special causes.
