START CREATINGSTARTWelcome to the Wix step-by-step getting started guide. In this guide we'll take you through each step to creating your website with Wix. Start: Login & Hit Create Create: Choose template & click edit to launch the editor Customize: How to make a template your own Publish: Publish your creation live online Ok, let's Start - go to Wix.com & click Create CREATECHOOSE A TEMPLATE In Create you'll find 100's of fully customizable professionally designed templates. Browse using the categories on the left hand side. And when you're ready, roll over the template you like & click Edit Tip: If you want to design from scratch, we recommend editing a template first to get used to the Wix platform. LAUNCH THE EDITOR Clicking Edit will launch the Wix editor where all the customizing happens. This will open in a new window. Now you're ready to customize and make it your own!CUSTOMIZE 01Welcome to the Wix editor. Let's start customizing... CUSTOMIZING YOUR TEMPLATE 1. Click: on any item 2. Replace/Edit: click replace, edit, manage or change to add your own content 3. Customize: Customize the item's color, settings and more, from the property panel at the bottom of the editorCUSTOMIZE 02ADD TO A TEMPLATE: CLICK, DRAG & DROP If you want to add something to your site, say an extra photo, a video or just a line, you can use the left menu of the editor, click on what you want, then drag & drop via the right hand size. The quickest way to learn is to start playing in the editor. HELP IS ALWAYS HERE Don't worry if you get stuck, help is here. You'll find links to our Help Center filled with step by step user guides, video tutorials and more via Help in the upper navigation or the icon in the bottom left corner. Tip: There's always Undo in the top menu if you do something you dont like (A/B). CUSTOMIZE 03PREVIEW YOUR WORK Click the Preview button on the top menu to see how your work will look once it's live . To continue working, click Back to Editing. SAVE YOUR WORK We wouldn't want you to lose your hard work! So, click the Save button periodically while you work. The first time you hit Save the Save As box will open. Go ahead and give your page a name and click Save. (Everything you save is found in My Account) Remember, save often! Now you're ready to Publish your site online.PUBLISHPUBLISH YOUR SITE ONLINE Your site is almost online! To make your site live on the web click Publish > Website > True Size That's it Congratulations! Your site is live! To get your Wix URL: Go to My Acount > rollover & click "View" UPDATE ANYTIME, EVEN ONCE ITS LIVE Simply go to My Account, roll over your Wix, click Edit and make your changes. When you hit Save your changes will update automatically Now it's your turn...Text OnlyText Only
