Eden Ministry!
This week, MCF's Goodwill small group is supporting the cause of EDEN MINISTRY with 3 jewelry sales across McGill campus!
*Wednesday February 8th (11-3): MCCONNELL
*Friday February 10th (11-3): RVC CAFETERIA
*Monday February 13th (11-3): REDPATH
If you:
a) love beautifully-designed jewelry,
b) would like to support an extraordinary cause, or
c) are looking for something with special meaning to give to a loved one this Valentine's,
then you really can't miss this.
Members of our group will be selling the jewelry, but they would also be delighted to answer questions and share even more about Eden Ministry with you (some basic information below!).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Based in Kunming, China, EDEN MINISTRY is an organization that seeks to rescue women trapped in prostitution and provide them with an alternative to prostitution - jewelry making. The hope found in this new way of life has the power to lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
Every piece of jewelry is made by the hands of a woman saved from human trafficking, and the proceeds from jewelry sales go toward funding:
1. Paychecks
2. Free shelter
3. Medical clinic
4. Lessons for the girls
Please support Eden Ministry by coming out to our sales, spreading the word, and inviting your friends to the event to learn more about this wonderful cause.
More information can be found, and online purchases can be made at: http://edenministry.org/

We are a group of interdenominational Christians on campus who have come together because of our shared faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. We believe that we are not just students who happen to be Christians at McGill, but rather that we are first Christians who happen to be students on campus. We strive to create a community that encourages dialogue from varying perspectives, while strengthening and supporting each other through our transformations, so that our mission as ambassadors for Christ may be fulfilled.

MCF Statement of Purpose
Our Five-Fold Objective is:
To witness to the Lord Jesus Christ as God incarnate and to seek to lead others to a personal faith in him as Saviour and Lord: evangelism is a prime objective...
To deepen and strengthen the spiritual life of students and others by the study of the Bible, by fellowship and by prayer: the spiritual development of Christians is an equally important objective...
To encourage Christians under the enablement of the Holy Spirit to demonstrate responsible Christian love: the love of one's neighbour is a commandment of the Lord...
To assist Christian students and faculty to explore and assert to the educational community the relevance of the Christian faith to every issue of private life and public concern: all truth is in Christ...
To affirm our vocations as full-time service to God: to pray, give and serve in the global mission of the church: every Christian is called to be sent into the world...
MCF Statement of Faith
We Believe In:
The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead. The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment. The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The universal sinfulness and guilt of all people since the fall, rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation. Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin solely through the sacrificial death ( as our Representative and Substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God. The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration. The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone. The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer. The Holy Universal Church which is the Body of Christ and to which all true believers belong. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Small Groups Small Groups
