Events HOLAS events occur throughout the year both on campus at Carleton University and at off-campus locations. They help us fundraise for our humanitarian initiatives while simultaneously showcasing Latin American culture! Click on the links to your left to find out more about each type of event!

Locura LatinaLocura Latina is one of the year's most highly anticipated events that HOLAS offers twice a year! It is currently our largest fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds go to our humanitarian aid projects with partnership organizations. This event is made possible by the cooperation of local Ottawa nightclubs and bars. Come and join us for a night of latin music rhythms that include salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton and more! As with every Locura Latina event, there are free beginner salsa lessons before the night begins, conducted by our lovely HOLAS volunteers. Support an amazing cause while spending an unforgettable night with HOLAS!

Latin Fest
Latin Fest This event is our end of the year showcase of everything about Latin American culture at Carleton! We invite many groups, organizations, and individuals to perform, speak, or dance right on campus. Not only are there performances, but everyone gets to enjoy Latin music and food too, no matter what your background is! This is an event that's hard to miss and plenty going on, and as always, any proceeds or donations made go to the funding of our humanitarian aid projects focused in Latin America.
