BookRadio Executive Producer and Host Kari Moran brings a wealth of professional experience to the microphone with more than two decades of award-winning broadcast journalism on national and Los Angeles-based radio including previous stints as an Anchor/Correspondent on the CBS-owned Stations KNX Newsradio 1070 and KFWB NEWS TALK 980 as Host of The City of Hope’s “Answers To Cancer Hour” in 2009. In 2010, “Kari Moran’s BookRadio Show” debuted, rising to KFWB’s top-rated Sunday Program.
Kari’s professional journalism career includes several years as national nightly News Anchor on the Mutual Broadcasting System and the NBC Radio Network. She’s also anchored for AP Broadcast and KFI AM 640 Radio. Kari’s covered many major stories including the deadly Station Fire in the Los Angeles foothills, the Catholic Church clergy abuse scandal, the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska, the Loma Prieta earthquake in northern California, and NASA's first Space Shuttle landing in the Mojave Desert.
In addition to her Voice-Over work, Kari continues her affiliation with Southern California Public Radio on 89.3fm KPCC where she guest Hosts the local editions of the NPR newsmagazines “All Things Considered” and “Weekend Edition”, a program she regularly Hosted for 4 years.

Hit Citi Music was founded in 2001 by producer, composer and songwriter Curt Harpel.
Located in Los Angeles in the coastal community of Marina del Rey, Hit Citi is focused on providing outstanding professional recording and voice over services to our clients in a wide range of industry disciplines including voice over's, music production and composition, vocal production promotion, advertising, songwriting, composing, arranging, intellectual property, publishing, digital distribution, producing and merchandising, along with advanced career guidance and direction. We strive to cultivate the highest possible level of client achievement through passionate, inspirational and innovative contributions to every project that we take part in.
Expressive, creative, film and television composer and music producer, Curt Harpel raised in Anchorage Alaska, has been involved with most major aspects of the performing arts including acting, singing, dancing, live and recorded performances, playing piano and guitar, disc jockeying, hosting, and more. His diverse experience has contributed greatly toward his abilities as a composer and is evident when listening to the range of his compositions.
With a CBS television newsman for a father, a mother who sang with Patty Page"The Singing Rage", and a Grandfather, Herb Jeffries, famous singer, who's star is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Curt's inclination to get into the business of entertainment was natural. Curt's formal training began when he left for New York at the age of 18 to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Manhattan School of Music. Other training led him to the Santa Fe Opera and Broadcasting School In L.A.
Before Curt turned his focus to composing, he had enjoyed the performing spotlight as a singer and actor, working on both coasts of the U.S as well as touring internationally. One of his favorite gigs was singing with Al Green and Patty Labelle in the Broadway touring production of "Your Arm's Too Short To Box With God." His celebratory style also earned him an invitation to sing in the Jesse Jackson presidential campaign.
Chris relocated to Los Angeles from London, England in the summer of 2011 to pursue his career in the music business. Originally born and raised in the east midlands of England Chris picked up a pair of drumsticks as a teenager having been inspired by the "pocket" of the funk and soul music he was brought up on. Establishing himself on the east midlands scene at a young age he went onto develop a wealth of experience as a musician around the UK performing and recording everything from Rock - Ceilidh music as well as teaching at the national music college, Access to Music.
In 2008 he moved to London to further his education and shift his focus to the business side of the industry, attaining his bachelors from the University of Westminster in Commercial Music. He further honed his understanding of the business during time as part of the business development team at audio distribution platform SoundCloud and music publisher Cayman Music before undertaking an internship at Universal Music in Santa Monica, CA.
Chris knowledge of the modern music industry, its history and a genuine passion for the full spectrum of musical genres makes him well versed in a variety of areas and makes him a valuable member of the Hit Citi team.
Laila Scharf graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park Florida in May, 2000 with a BA in music performance and education and a minor in studio art. She performed in many different ensembles, including percussion, jazz, choir, and also competed in concerto competitions and other piano performances.
She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in music composition at California State University Fullerton, where she plans to enter the film score writing industry, as well as continuing to teach.
Laila grew up with music and art, playing the piano, painting, and always staying busy being creative. Her twin sister, Lauren, and younger brother, Ian, are also musicians and artists. Music has been one of the most important things in her life, as a creative outlet for expression. She has been teaching piano for over 15 years. "Being able to share my love and passion for music with others, especially children, is truly a gift, that I am eternally grateful for."
Born and raised in Hawaii Honu grew up listing to hip hop, pop, reggae, Hawaiian and rock music. The inspiration that he drew from his passion for music led him to DJing and a variety of other arts such as playing the Ukelele and the drums since he was ten years old.
Honu began acting in 1996 and relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 to pursue his career in the entertainment industry. Since then he has done amazing work, and has successfully networked himself. Honu has landed a variety of national commercials and is also an active member of the Screen Actors Guild. He started a band in 2003 called Kanikapila. As the go to man of the band, he successfully booked and played the band all over Southern California at a plethora of festivals and large music venues. Honu has also MCed for the Manea dancers here in Los Angeles. Aside from the Ukelele and his innovative and contagious personality, he is also a drummer that has performed in a variety of different productions and concerts.
Currently, Honu is extremely involved at the House of Blues on Sunset which has greatly expanded his network and connection within the industry which is a powerful tool to have obtained. Honu's creativity and love for songwriting and production truly diversifies us and is an asset to our team here at Hit Citi Music.
Stephan's musical journey started in Paris France where is parents took him to a" Earth Wind and Fire" concert. The spirit of that sound turned him to the drums at "C I M " a then music school in Paris where he played in local bands .Always looking for that american sound Stephan enrolled at MIT in Los Angeles where he studied and played with then fellow students guitarist Frank Gambale, drummer Neil Symonette, guitarist Scott Enderson and bassist Oscar Cataya. During a bass performance class , Stephan got bit by the bass bug, joined Visions a gospel group led by singers Ray Sidney and Laron Christopher. He also toured with Gospel singer Helen Baylor, singer Mavis Davis ( Bette Midler) recorded with Johnny Graham ( EWF), shared the stage with Stevie Wonder at the House of Blues. Openned up for Sheila E with Firm Soundation a gospel group that Stephan plays for currently at the House of Blues in Hollywood, Anaheim and San Diego. Stephan also played on the Rok Golob and Soul Activation live dvd in Europe.
