B by Aperire showcases Beastial Collection
THE LOS ANGELES FASHION
On October 14, 2011 during TLFW at Project Ethos, The Los Angeles-based footwear brand B by Aperire, showcased their long awaited new Beastial Collection. The footwear fuses modern designs with cushion and comfort. All the shoes and boots have a patented filler foam cushion, making their footwear extra comfy. The collection ranges from knee high boots to a spin on the modern wedge. The companys designer, a Japanese native, marries Japanese street culture with a style wearable by the modern women.
L.A. Fashion Week Highlight: B by Aperire _ Project Ethos
We enjoyed the simplicity that B by Aperire showcased at Ethos. While the pieces were presented with a great many detail we were left wanting to see more, which is a good sign for any designers show. Current trends seen in this collection are color blocking, animal print, fringe, gold cuffs and sheer stockings.

I was probably most struck by the B by APERIRE collection, which was actually mostly about the shoes and boots. Still more interesting was that some of the clothing was as interesting as the boots and the boots were fabulous. Even before the runway show, I had already spotted a pair without knowing it: wildly fringed black suede over-the-knee boots sported by a striking young woman seated just one row back. She had a strong look to begin with and the boots finished it off perfectly. After confirming that her boots were B by APERIRE, she then added that she had a hand in designing the clothing. The irony is that the label is actually Japanese, although my understanding is that the shoes and apparel may be designed, sourced and manufactured in a number of places. (Fashion will always exemplify the global village; it is local and global simultaneously.)
