Past Events Reviews
Battle of the Undead was an event created by Southville Dancers which was also supported by Hip Hop Malta. This was mainly a Bboy (Breakdance) Battle event, ending with a good party. Held in a very characteristic place with a very good vibe which made the night perfect for the two hundred and fifty people who attended.
It all started with 1 vs 1 Battles, continuing with the B Girl Battles won by B Girl Lastic and ending with the major battles of 3 vs 3 won by Underground Shadows Crew (Juju, Rythem-Foot and Tinu).
The party ended by the mixing of DJ Johnny Jay and a very good gathering between the crews.
Hip Hop Malta would love to thank all the Bboys and Bgirls who took part.
This was the first Jamming session held by Hip Hop Malta in 2011. The Place was at Rookies Sports Bar, Bugibba (Near the cinema). All artist were welcome to join the Jam and have fun on a Sunday night (3rd July 2011). Entrance was free. It all kicked at around 7pm when everyone started to gather up...
Men on the drums - men on the bass,
men on the floors - men on the mics,
Funk mixed with Jive - ain't no surprise
women hitting the bar - buying drinks for men!!
at Rookies 'Do it Live' - 5+5 don't make ten!
It was not too hot it was just soo nice
Thank god there was all - and not just a fan.
... well true true someman got drinks paid
from a woman and we guess only this time
it wasn't because of the really-super-mega-fair price of 1.50E per half pint of beer...it was for ...well something else, though we shouldn't really say the story here should we? Neither we will say here which top local artists were there doing it live, Jamming at the same time like never before. Some of us were pinching each other just to check if it was real... It was Real!
Hip Hop Malta, which is an organization of Hip Hop, would like to specifically thank Chris and all people working at Rookies for the
opportunity of this first Jam Session and welcomes the new MC who popped on stage!

'Underground Shadows' 7th Year Anniversary Event
In occasion of our 7th Anniversary as a B-boy Crew, we proudly present 'Circle of Fire'. As a crew we believe that this art form should be kept as raw as possible and thus we will strive for a cypher environment. August 20th 2010, Time · 8:30pm - 11:00pm. Location,Kalkara, Square in front of Church,Police Station,Playing field.
The battle format will be as follows:
Qualifications:
· Any individual can take part in the eliminatory section which will take place in a cypher.
· There will be 3 appointed judges.
· During the cypher, the judges can throw down whenever they want and battle B-boys/B-girls to watch their response.
· At the end of the cypher, the judges will pick the best B-boys/B-girls, who will qualify for the finals.
· The duration of the cypher will be communicated later since this depends on how many B-boys/B-girls subscribe.
Finals:
· The battles will be in the traditional 1 on 1 format.
· Each B-boy/B-girl will have 3 rounds per battle.
· During the final battle each artist will have 4 rounds.
