Formed in January 2010, and with over 50 years of combined experience, this dynamic ladies quartet sings 4-part harmony, a cappella style. Each of the members lives in different parts of town, but all near to Toronto, Ontario! Julie in Ancaster, Karen in Campbellville, Julia in Ancaster, and Denise in Guelph!
High Five, a registered quartet part of Harmony, Inc., competed in the 2011 Area (April) and International (November) Contests & Conventions and were pleased with their results. Our top finish was 7th place in IC&C! WOW! We look forward to singing in our next contest in May 2012 and look forward to many more!

Karen Hosler - Lead
Denise Keleher - Tenor
Karen has been a member of Harmony Inc. since October 2000. After visiting an A Cappella Showcase rehearsal, she was hooked on the beautiful barbershop harmonies and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. She has sung with various quartets over the past 10 years, but singing with High Five has taken her love of barbershop singing to a whole new level! Karen resides in Campbellville with her husband Brian and their three children Paige, Nathan and Jacob.
Denise is a charter member with A Cappella Showcase. She lives in Guelph with her husband Tim and has two sons, Nick and Andrew. This is Denise's first experience competing in a quartet and the first time singing tenor. Denise used to sing baritone with ACS but switched to tenor (although she enjoys singing both parts). It is truly a great experience learning to sing tenor and with three wonderful ladies.
Julia McGregor - Bass
Julie Rushton - Baritone
Julia has been singing barbershop harmony for more than 20 years and loves every minute of it. She first joined the Toronto Accolades because her mother sang with them and started out her barbershop career in the lead section before switching to bass. She later joined A Cappella Showcase when her family moved away from the Toronto area and remains a member there today. Singing with High Five is just WAY too much fun!
Julie has been singing barbershop for more than 10 years with A Cappella Showcase and singing with a quartet is something that makes life even more fun! This is only her second quartet experience - it teaches you how to sing so much better because you are the only one singing your part! Julie is married to Matt with a son Spencer and lives in Ancaster. Julie's parents also like to support the hobby and travel to many competitions. Singing with these girls is so great!
