Hello!
Hey I'm Denise, but everyone calls me Neesy Pea. I'm a Northern California native who lives with my ever so clever cartoonist hubby, a cutie pie toddler boy and new baby boy!My mother taught me the love of crafting, sewing, and crochet when I was a kid, and I never stopped.I started my dot com business in October of 2002, and am now selling on Etsy exclusively. I love every second of my artistic process, and I hope you do to!Since opening my shop in 2002 I was featured on an HGTV show called That's Clever in 2005 where I demonstrated how to make (my then) original sushi knitting needles and a plush kitty creature. You can also find some of my works and patterns in two craft books. The Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet Book "The Happy Hooker" by Debbie Stoller and Plush You!: Lovable Misfit Toys to Sew and Stuff by Kristen Rask.My goal is to create items that are fun and functional. So many things inspire me in my creative process: all the colors of the rainbow, polka dots, vintage & recycled materials, big puffy rain clouds, stories from grannies and everything cute and kitschy. I handcraft everything myself in a modest studio in El Dorado Hills, CA!My wheels never stop spinning and I'm always creating something new.
