About Hector Moyes

Still going strong he shows great interest in both Music and Theater. Recently Hector has been working with Clacton Musical Theatre Society, where he runs the music side of the Youth Performers as well as backstage work or playing in the pit.

Hector was fortunate enough to attend the "Oundle for Organists - Summer School" in July 2010 - where he studied with Margaret Phillips - Professor of organ at the Royal College of Music London and Robert Quinney - Organist for the Royal Wedding.

He also had the privilage to play some of the countrys best classical organs, at various colleges in Cambridge and Peterborough Cathedral.

Hector studies music full time at Colchester Institute - Extended Diploma As/2 level in Music (B-tech 3rd qualification) and is hoping to continue his studies in music for a BA in music. He holds offers to study at City University in London and Anglia Ruskin - Cambridge campus.

Hector now has a wide range of musical ability. His instruments include; Piano, Organ (classical and rock), Accordion, Irish whistle, and he dabbles on the flute.

His Main musical focus is on Musical Direction and Composition.

He is an Avid and Enthusiastic Composor and Conductor.

Hector was resident musical director for the unity singers from May 2009 until May 2011.

He Enjoyed his time with the choir from its formation in 2009, he saw the choir perform in 2 major concerts, 2 christmas performances and a very special Live performance on BBC Essex.

From a very early age Hector has shown a deep interest in music. He started piano lessons at school at the age of 5, and has enjoyed playing ever since. Hectors real involvement in music began at secondary school, where he was the school pianist. Duties included playing for assembelies, open days and various school events.

Another area of interest for Hector is the Theater. Again he has been involved in this art form from a very early age. Attending Stagecoach from the age of 4 Hector was involved with the record breaking performance of 'The Rainbow Juggler"

Education:

Hector has moved arround in education from school to school but his main education has been recieved at secondary school level where he attended Colchester High School - An all boys independant school based in Colchester, Essex.

Hectors past times include sailing and Skiing. He enjoys reading and composition as well as being involved in Amature Dramatics.

Lessons and Peformances

Lessons:

Hector is qualified to teach up to grade 6 Theory and grade 6 Piano to the ABRSM Syllabus.

A Typical 30 minute lesson would cost £10.00

regardless of weather it is Theory or Piano.

A Typical 60 minute lesson would cost £18.00

again, regardless of Theory or Piano.
