It's hard for me to condense two weeks worth of celebration into anything shorter than a novel, so here are a few highlights:Our 80 amazing guests--we are blessed!Sharing Oahu, an island we love, with our friends and family the week before the weddingA surprise Waikiki bachelorette party, a welcome bash, and a rehearsal fete that all rockedBeating the odds with perfect wedding day weather despite a forecast that gave us a 90% chance of rain Pledging a lifetime of love and faithfulness to the man I adore Dinner under a canopy of trees and the first dance with my husbandA ridiculously spectacular oceanfront home in Kauai + 10 of our closest friends = one awesome week-long weddingmoon Scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, and cliff jumping with the gangEvenings in Kauai: 6 couples enjoying incredible Hawaiian feasts prepared by a private chef, drinking cocktails on the lanai with the sun setting in front of us, and laughing together until the morningTwo weeks that surpassed anything we ever imagined. Excellent communication during the planning process. What more could you want?Catering: Poke Stop Super Star VendorWe both felt that the caterer was the most important wedding-related decision. We wanted to spoil our guests with a fabulous meal. The food tasted amazing, and the presentation was impeccable. Chef Elmer gets our highest rating.Ceremony and Cocktail Music: Slack Key Guitarist Jon BasebaseRecommendedJon sounds lovely in person. Definitely set the tone we wanted for the ceremony and cocktail hour.DJ: Troy MichaelRecommendedGreat song selections. Our guests were on the dance floor from the first song to the last. Zero cheese. Floral and Event Design: Yvonne Floral Highly RecommendedYvonne and her team did an amazing job. They brought all the ideas in my head and in my bio to life, and the result was stunning. I was blown away (and so were our guests).Transportation: TPT RecommendedOn the wedding day, the driver showed up with the wrong bus, one that couldn't accommodate all our guests. I'm still recommending them, because they handled themselves professionally, switched the bus quickly, and got to Lani on time.Wedding Coordination: Sandra and Tristin from Finishing Touch Super Star VendorI couldn't have planned this wedding without Sandra. She helped me with so many aspects of the wedding--from vendor selection to timeline logistics to design elements. She's a true professional and the sweetest person ever.
