Russel Trepalacios is a retired real estate broker and entreprenuer with extensive experience in community affairs and human resource work. He is an advocate of parental rights is a father of one.

Eric Carlson MS CAS Counseling Psychology is an Associate Professor at Schenectady County Community College in the Division of Liberal Arts. Professor Carlson teaches a variety of courses in Psychology, Counseling, and Substance Abuse Treatment, and coordinates the AAS degree program in Chemical Dependency Counseling. His 27 years of experience encompass all aspects of the mental health and substance abuse treatment systems. A committed father of two, Mr. Carlson has founded and directed a variety of United Way grant funded programs that support active and competent fathering.

He was the popular voice on WIZR 930 AM in Johnstown, NY and Co-host with Hank McGrath on the popular local "Voices of the People" on local radio and LIVE online. Hank McGrath BS in Business has been a civil rights advocate and an innovative community organizer for over 35 years. He is also FOF Coordinator, FOF Father & Family Educator and Public Relations. Mr. Mc Grath is considered to be a multi-media pioneer and has hosted/produced cutting edge, award winning national & local social documentary programs on both radio and tv. He is certified to issue the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award by the President's Committee on Service & Civic Participation. Mr. McGrath is a father of one.

Our Special Projects

Fathers/Teen Exec Mentor Projects
Specialized training to help develop relationship building, facilitation and community organizing skills. Fathers who complete this training will receive an impressive certificate and be eligible to facilitate Father Council meetings and other FOF projects. We also offer "New Generation", an intergenerational mentoring initiative designed to increase the resiliency and protective factors of youths through a comprehensive intergenerational approach. The basic concept of the program is to pair older adult volunteers from the business community (50 and older) with youth (10 to 18 years old) to create a special bonding relationship. The project also uses community service activities, provides a classroom-based life-skills and Teen Executive curriculum, and offers parent-training workshops. Older mentors —by acting as advocates, challengers, nurturers, role models, and friends—help children develop the awareness, self-confidence, and skills they need tooverwhelming obstacles. FOF Awards Recognition Project
RETAIL/CORPORATE SPONSORS NEEDED!"Code Adam" is a retail/large public facility missing child alert system sponsored by the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children and the centers co-founder, John Walsh, in memory of Adam Walsh who in 1981 was abducted from a store and then senselessly murdered. This type of abduction from a large public place is not uncommon. With the "Code Adam" system in place in our local stores, busy shopping malls and designated public facilities children would be better protected and therefore in a safer environment from predators. F.O.C.U.S.S. On Fathers has taken the initiative to train local merchants and security personnel using the "Code Adam" system. Once the procedures are in place at your store, shopping mall or public facility your business will be listed as a "program participant" on the NCMEC website. As well, you will be providing an invaluable service to local authorities and families in the community - shutting the "abduction window" on the child predator!Our Code Adam Team of instructors will provide a 30 minute presentation with materials and hand outs on the 'CODE ADAM SYSTEM" to designated store personnel and security at your store/shopping mall or facility. Once trained you will have the materials and system in place to be prepared to respond using "Code Adam" protocol. The public will also be informed of your participation through media sources and public announcements.
