"Circus Diabolique" was actually a commission, wherin which the client specified that I leave a "blank" area for Alice to sign. It is actually the only time someone else's hand completed the composition of one of my projects.
Ominously, you see, this has the title 'Steven I', meaning there is another one, undoubtedly more frightful, in the works. "Steven" was my first painting of Alice, completed at least 15 years ago and measured 16"x20" (acrylic on canvas).
I thought that the 'Constrictor' album cover concept was great, but the execution left much to be desired. So, I redid it; what the hell... this is colored pencil, acrylic, and chalk pastel on art paper. 11"x14"
Alice rides his pale carousel horse to hell and back. Like Mary Poppins. This project is 12"x16", mixed media on artboard.
