WTND-LP-FM, a low power FM radio station, began broadcasting on Jan. 8 2003, to the Macomb area at 106.3 on the FM dial.
Many people worked to get this community radio station on the air. They
are listed here, along with photos of the station's friends throughout the years.
Broadcast producers Tom DePauw and Darryl Roberts have done live shows and remote shows on community events, from peace marches to church services and visiting musicians.
We play music and present a variety of national news shows not available elsewhere in Macomb, from Democracy Now to Free Speech Radio News.
We also present weather updates, especially important during tornado
season.
The station broadcasts 24 hours daily.
Is it snowing?
Is it raining?
Is it sunny and clear?
Don't look outside...

more about us
WTND-LP is a low power FM radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day to the Macomb
area at 106.3 FM on the radio dial.
It is operated by an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, T and D Communications, Inc.
It offers a mix of music, news shows and community events.
Tom DePauw and Darryl Roberts are the producers, and bring years of radio experience to their roles.
The station offers many future possibilities, from streaming audio on the WTND website, making the station available to anyone anywhere, to a public studio where interviews can take place.
Meanwhile, WTND offers an opportunity for Macomb residents to share their ideas, programs and music with their community.
Tom and Darryl are open to broadcasting editorials or programs from the public. They will add events to a community calendar.
WTND depends on contributions from the public to present high quality programming.
Please consider giving a generous donation.
Contact WTND by email at darryl_wtnd.us for more information.
Members who give a year or more will be acknowledged on the air.
Friends who give yearly will be listed on the WTND Web site with links to their websites, Facebook pages or blogs, if desired.
