Pauline Missionary Baptist Church from Monticello, AR arrived on June 10th. On Sunday morning at Guadalupe MBC they presented a program for the children. We then left after morning service to go to Boaz MBC in Rio Claro. At Boaz we installed wall board on the wall in the kitchen / fellowship area. We painted this area, the restroom, the bedroom / nursery, and the new classroom. A couple of the guys repaired and painted a swing set. They presented their childrens program here also. We had about 27 kids from the area come. We returned to San Jose on Wednesday morning, and on the way we stopped at the beach in Manual Antonio for a couple of hours.
One of my neighbors is a principal at a pre-kindergarten school. This school is in a very disadvantaged area and due to a lack of finances, supplies are very limited. The group brought a crate full of school supplies and we delivered these to the school on Thursday morning. While we were there the group played with the kids and told bible stories. It was a blessing to everyone to see these beautiful children laughing and smiling.
While most of the group was at the school, Kathy, three ladies from the group, and Annabel Castro went to Calderon Hospital. The group brought some items for cancer patients. They also made salvation bracelets. There were so many people wanting these bracelets they had to make more while there were there. They witnessed to several people and two were saved. God is Good. They left more beads here, and Kathy, Alison, and I made more bracelets. Kathy took them to her chemo nurse to give to the new patients as they come in.
Thursday afternoon we left for the canopy tour at San Lorenzo. The hotel there had a great deal and we spent Thursday and Friday night there. The group did the canopy and the canyoning tours. We returned to San Jose on Saturday and the group returned to the states on Sunday Morning.
It was a great week and we want to thank Pauline MBC for once again choosing Costa Rica as a mission project.
Thank you for your prayers and support. We could not do this without you.
