One measures her self-satisfaction and receives recognition. For as long as Delta Phi Lambda has existed, it has reached out successfully and positively affected the community along with promoting universal unity. Delta Phi Lambda's national philanthropy is osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is the most common type of metabolic bone disease distinguished by the progressive loss of bone density and thinning of bone tissue, which mostly triggers Asian and European women.
The sisters of Delta Phi Lambda have also worked to protect the environment by participating in the Adopt-A-Highway program located on Northside Drive off of I-75 in Atlanta and have contributed tremendously at Project Open Hands. The sisters have also volunteered with Hands on Atlanta, Chopstix for Charity, Good Shepard Services, and Sheltering Arms.
