How It All Began
The mission of GoodSamaritan Network is to demonstrate the unconditional love of Christ by serving the physical, financial and emotional needs of at-risk individuals and families in Hamilton County.
GSN can only accomplish these acts of service through the volunteer contributions, extreme engagement and deliberate participation of numerous organizations and individuals. It is in the empowerment of serving by our members, ministry partners, volunteers, and the entire community, that we are able to provide the distinct capacity for transforming lives. This participation allows for the equipping of individuals with hope for developing strong families, friends, and neighbors, as together we embrace positive life changes.
Our primary distinction within the community is providing an ever-growing network that increases the opportunities of serving the residents of Hamilton County.
Organizationally we are looking for sustainability of our services and ministry efforts by steadily addressing these areas of need, while keeping an intentional and purposeful focus on people: because we value people most!

Financial Info and NonProfit GSN Pledge
At GSN, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do — because we recognize that every resource entrusted to us has the potential to transform the lives of countless individuals and families within our community.
As part of our stewardship, we make every effort to optimize resources and distribute them as efficiently as possible to the greatest need. We work within board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of resources.
We carefully monitor and review programs and costs, use donations and grants for their intended purposes, and look for ways to leverage funds and resources for maximum impact.
In addition, we continually strive to keep our overhead rate as low as possible. Our goal is that an appropriate percentage of our total operating expenses are used for direct services and programs that benefit children and families in need.
Our uniqueness and effectiveness has earned the trust and support of numerous donors, as well as hundreds of local churches, dozens of corporations, institutions and government agencies.
Currently we are completing the application process for ECFA in an on-going effort to implement best practices for nonprofits as recommended by the auditors.

GoodSamaritan of Hamilton County is currently completing the application process for ECFA in an on-going effort to implement best practices for nonprofits as recommended by the auditors.
ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust through adherence to Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™. Founded in 1979, ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fundraising and board governance. Members include Christian ministries, denominations, churches, educational institutions and other tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations. Collectively, these organizations represent more than $18 billion in annual revenue.
ECFA'’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™ focus on board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charity resources.

We are utilizing the internet to provide immediate information and support for volunteer scheduling. Each volunteer can schedule specific events and specific times they are available to volunteer at GSN. This allows us to see at a glance a volunteer and scheduling grid that reflects your participation based on specific dates, times, jobs, etc.
Once you have completed a VOLUNTEER APPLICATION - please click on the "EVENT SCHEDULING ONLINE" button to begin scheduling your participation times with GSN.
You will receive automatic confirmation and follow up notifications regarding your event sign up.
