I created GIIIIXplosveRtistry as my signature Freelance company. It encompasses all that I do or create. Its my play on words a correlation to C4 as an explosive I use GIIII as a similar term to describe my artistry. Many of you who know me know my connection with the time and date of my birth being 11:11 at 11:11am which is in itself a phenomenon. So I use GIIIIXplosveRtistry as my phenomenal term in relation to my artisty as my highest level of creativity, detail, execution and professionalism.
I have a B.F.A in Dance from Loyola Marymount University with my emphasis in Choreography and Performance. I Toured the U.S. as a modern dancer with Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Theater for two years .
A true lover of Fashion, I Began Runway modeling for the International Clothing company "The United Colors of Benetton" in S.F. for Spring and Fall collections 84' -86'. Later, had the opportunity for Runway Modeling " cross dressed" for two local high Fashion designers in Los Angeles . I had 2 1/2 year journey performing as "GIGI STARR" with my B.F.F. Eric Low as "TERI YAKI" headlining shows in West Hollywood, Long Beach , Riverside, PuertaVallarta , and Hollywoods historic El Rey theater as premier gogo dancer.
I worked for MAC Cosmetics here in Portland for the last 11 years where I sharpened my skill as a detail oreinted, well versed and exceptional makeup artist and customer service all star, sales associate.

Makeup Artistry is a passion of mine. I believe its a wonderful feeling to have a profession that makes people feel good about themselves. Each client is like a whole new artistic puzzle the key for me is to gain a sense of understanding who my clients are, how they relate to cosmetics, how they view themselves their features and self image. It is only after I have a sense of who my clients are, I am able to speak their language and begin to unlock and release thier new visual image and expand their outward beauty. I always believed every single person uniquely is beautiful, it is up to us to find it ! And as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
As a freelance makeup artist it is my duty and personal expectation to deliever the finest in excellence detail and relevency to each and every client. From simplified every day makeup to the timeless perfection of wedding makeup, the fine detail of HD for camera or the artistic detailed placement of editorial/ coutour or the Ultimate evening Smokey eye dramatic makeup, each a new experience, new charachter and lesson in Artistry .
