-One of the most important aspects of a marketing strategy is creating customer value. We want to make sure that the customers of REMC's feel a connection to this plan and want to remain loyal and give back as a result. -Our plan allows customers to save money on their energy bill as well as contribute to saving our environment. Enabling our customers to realize how much energy they are saving will in turn make customers highly value the REMC's. -To increase value, we will have employees from the REMC's go to customer's homes and view their offices to see who is using energy efficient products. The customers who are utilizing the most energy efficient products will be recognized in the "News at Home" newsletter.
-Customers who are not using energy efficient products will be given pointers on how to save money on their bill. -Each quarter, the REMC's will give out a prize to the household who has made the biggest improvement on their energy bill in a raffle. The prize will be an energy efficient appliance such as an EnergyStar refridgerator or dishwasher. The raffle will be drawn at the annual REMC meeting where all REMC customers and shareholders are invited. -This creates customer value because it makes the customers want to help the environment and receive something in return. It creates the connection between the customers and the plan.
