Original Gourd Art by Diana Boyle
Gourds have long been used by man for everyday activities from storing food to carrying water and in fact have been found as burial artifacts. The natural shape of gourds have been copied by both basket makers and potters. They have been decorated in many different ways and are still being produced and used in ways that have never varied from ancient times and cultures. Organic, practical beautiful, the gourd has ever been a canvas for the hand of an artist.
