We are a team of skaters with the majority being 35 years of age and above. Some of us have skated all our lives, while others are just starting out in the sport.
We skate for the 'love of the sport' with a little fitness on the side. What a blast!
We are an inclusive team. Even if you have never had the opportunity to try synchronized skating, come out and meet us. You may find you love synchro as much as we do.
The team was first started by Suzanne Corupe (coach) and Laurel Nolan (manager) in the fall of 2007, to bring skating friends together again as a synchro team who skate for the sheer love, fitness and enjoyment of the sport.
That year, the University Skating Club of Toronto were also beginning a new masters team, and needed a coach and manager - so we joined forces! "On the Edge" began their first year together as the "too much fun" Masters Synchro team.
In the fall of 2008, the team moved their practices to the brand new, state-of-the-art Cassie Campbell Community Centre, to skate on the specialized figure skating pad.
After the second successful year of skating together, Skate Canada Brampton Chinguacousy welcomed us under their umbrella for team sanctioning and we became known as Gold & Glamorous.
