If you desire to be in the presence of the Lord, come to Glory Tabernacle! We seek to be a people and a place where God can reveal His love and power to all. When you come to Glory Tabernacle you will find a friendly atmosphere, sense the Love of God, and find a sincerity that will be refreshing! We are a worshiping church, a teaching church and an outreach church. We place much emphasis on strengthening families and on our children and youth. We have a wonderful Kids Church, Youth Ministry, Drama Team, and Praise Team. Our focus is Jesus Christ, our worship is in the power of the Spirit, and our strength is in the Word of God! So, as the scripture says in John 1:46, "come and see" what God is doing at Glory Tabernacle!

A Brief History of Glory Tabernacle
The Church with humble beginnings....and has remained humble for over 80 years.
Glory Tabernacle was originally organized as Reddick Chapel on March 11, 1917.
The Church was built on the corner of Nance & Pope Streets near the railroad
crossing. The Rev. J.C. Smith served as the first Pastor of the small Church of only
12 members. Around 1935, Reddick Chapel officially became Newberry First
Pentecostal Holiness Church. Membership grew and the Church retained this name
for 60 years. In 1995, Newberry First PHC was renamed Glory Tabernacle of
Newberry. The Church has seen many Pastors over the years prior to Pastor Joel
Mundy arriving in 2004. Today, with well over a 100 members, we continue to be a
Church that remains humble and gives God ALL the glory!
Our Vision is to grow in the grace of God and to become an outreach-oriented, multi-ethnic
Church that impacts not only our community, but our region by sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him
be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Senior Pastor Joel & Lori Mundy

Joel & Lori came to Glory Tabernacle nearly six years ago. Prior to becoming Senior Pastor at GT, they both served at Bath Pentecostal in Aiken County, SC. By the Lords leading, they moved to Newberry and began leading the GT family. Joel & Lori are both ordained ministers of the IPHC. In addition, they both are active musicians & Lori serves as the Minister of Music. They have two children, Jacob & Jonathan.
Associate Pastor Josh Parsons

Josh serves as the Associate Pastor at Glory Tabernacle. Josh began serving in ministry at age 12 as a musician. He joined the staff of GT several years ago & has held other leadership positions prior to becoming Associate. Along with assisting in Pastoral Care duties, Josh is very involved with GT's music & media ministries. He is married to Bridgett & they have two children, Maggie & Eli.
