I am currently a lecturer in English language and linguistics at the University of Portsmouth. I recently worked on my PhD at the University of Liverpool and I now teach on the following courses:

My research involves spoken corpora of Korean English; one recorded in Seoul and one recorded in Liverpool. This allows me to study variations in collocation with minimal effect from L1 and cultural factors. My work is closely involved with Hoey's theory of Lexical Priming and Wray's model of Formulaic language.
