ABOUT ME
My name is Kerstin, but everybody calls me Kim.I was born and raised in Germany and studied History of Arts at the University in Berlin.Copper foil stained glass was my first exposure to the realm of glass. From there I tried out the lead came technique and bought a kiln for traditional glass paints. Now, since I had a kiln, I had no choice but to try glass fusing, and so it happens that I am doing what I am doing today.I have been part of the handmade movement since the beginning of 2009 when I opened my GlassFancy Etsy store. Back then I started selling fused glass jewelry and that is still a main focus today.I picked up the idea of fused glass cabinet hardware when I was contemplating ways to beautify my own kitchen. Now I have another Etsy store solely for my knobs and pulls: Zibbet.com/KnobsAndPulls.

PRODUCT
The drawer and cabinet hardware I create is made with care and attention to detail. It is unique and has character that is absent in the world of large-scale manufacturing.All knobs and pulls are made by me in my home studio.I use high quality compatible glass and spend a lot of time putting my creations through the proper annealing schedules.My goal is to create clear, crisp shapes and lines in colorful shades.Any metal inclusions you see inside the glass are 99.9% pure silver, which will continue to stay bright and shiny as long as the glass around it stays intact.Please check out the Gallery to see more photos.
Both knobs and pulls can be made with different color bases.
