Ghost Hunting Tours can be a haunting experience at the 1822 Haunted Farm House in Wellsburg,WV which is known to be haunted. Each month from March to November you can try your hand at tracking ghosts, spirits or *energy* inside the walls of the farm house. Bring your friends and create a team, as you investigate the old Gist Farm House in search of the paranormal.
The Gist House
History
The Gist House tour takes place in our historic, 185+ year old farmhouse, built before 1822, which holds a shocking past, and a history of true stories of ghosts and the unexplained. The house was the mansion of the late W.C. Gist, and his wife who owned the 750 acres, of what was known as "Happy Hills Farm". After the death of Mr. Gist, his 750 acre farm property was willed to Brooke County and became Brooke Hills Park, which is what it has been for the past 55 years.

The Gist House is Located Inside Brooke Hills Park 140 Gist Drive, Wellsburg, WV 26070
From Wheeling...Take Route 2 North to Wellsburg, at the 4th red light (by Parkvale Bank) turn right onto Washington Pike (Rt.27)..travel approx. 4 1/2 miles, past the cemetery, the park is on the right..across the street from the school.
From Weirton/Steubenville: Take Route 2 South to Wellsburg. At Krogers, go 4 red lights (by Parkvale Bank), turn left onto Washington Pike (route 27)..travel approx. 4 1/2 miles, past the cemetery, the park is on the right, across from the school.
From Washington, PA: From I 79 S, take 70W to the Jefferson Ave. exit, off the exit bear right. at the 2nd light turn right on Jefferson Ave. , next light, bear left onto 844W. Travel approx. 17 miles to the WV state line, where 844W becomes Rt. 27 (Washington Pike). the park is 1 mile on the left across the road from the school.
