We have a comprehensive system of class sessions, training and resources to address the issue of well being in schools. Our work is based upon our expertise in 5 key principles:
Yoga
We have simplified taking yoga practice into schools with our system of Wellbeing Exercises, an accessible and highly beneficial sequence of stretches. We also teach other gentle and fun yoga postures that can easily be practiced in the classroom.
Meditation
Exploring techniques of breathing, relaxation, focus and balance that can be applied to improve concentration and enhance brain function and emotional well being.
Healing Music
We have a number of music experts who teach simple and enjoyable songs using the voice, live instruments and percussion. These sessions have proved particularly popular in classes, improving learning, co-ordination, confidence and happiness. We also have specially produced music for schools available on-line and on CD.
Peace Circles
A peace circle is a focal point of peace that is easy to create. We run sessions in building peace circles that can be temporary or more permanent. A peace circle can be used to enhance a connection to our inner self, to other people and to our environment.
Nutrition
Our team of nutrition experts has developed guidelines to help pupils, staff and parents maximise their wellbeing through healthy eating and positive nutrition.

What to expect in a Wellbeing Classroom Session:
Introduction to Wellbeing Techniques – 30mins per class
- The session begins by teaching children our very popular Namaste Song using rhythm and movement.
- We move on to our Wellbeing Exercises, teaching pupils a 5-minute workout that incorporates simple yoga, tai chi and healing techniques that can be done in a classroom setting.
- We teach children how to breathe properly, and to use the breath as a way to balance the body and mind, and to release stress and anxiety.
- We have fun learning about rhythm and world cultures with the interactive Rhythm Song which features aborigine clap sticks from Australia.
- We explore listening and a brief period of meditation using singing bowls or bells. – We practice the Heart Technique which gives children a way to feel safe and loved.
- We finish by singing our song Love & Healing, sending peaceful thoughts to the world.
Yoga - 30 to 60 minute per class
A session teaching children more in depth practices of yoga movements. This starts with a detailed look at the Wellbeing Exercises including practicing them along to our specially created music (some children find music really helps their co-ordination and enthusiasm). Modified versions of some yoga poses are then taught including the standing sun salutation (for all round flexibility), warrior sequence (to develop strength, relaxation and to balance the brain hemispheres), tree pose (for balance and co-ordination), and lotus sequence (to prepare for meditation and concentration). The session finishes with a guided relaxation.
Meditation & Mindfullness – 30mins
Teaching a range of tried and tested techniques that help children to feel calm, develop focus and concentration, relax, develop creativity and self-esteem and help deal with uncomfortable emotions. Practices include breathing games, visualisation, moving meditations, listening, using sound and deep relaxation.
Healing Music – 30mins
Children love music. Our sessions focus on their participation in using sound and music to bring about health and happiness. Using a range of sound healing instruments from around the world and pioneering techniques of songs, rhythm and movement, children develop creativity, self expression, confidence and have a lot of fun!
Peace Circles – 30 to 60mins
Creating a sacred space is something that all children enjoy to do. We encourage children to build Peace Circles which are focal points of peace that can be created in the classroom or if weather allows outside. Doing this connects them to their local environment, to the world and to the seasonal cycles. This session incorporates numbers, measurement, geometry, the natural world and how to create a culture of peace. An expanded session can include building a more permanent peace circle on the school grounds.
