who is this site for?
quite simply...
Gay Lanzarote is for gay men and women and anyone who has an interest in visiting the island, one of the most surprising and unique places on the planet. We want everyone who makes the journey to have a thrilling and rewarding time and if we can assist in making your experience more memorable then we will be satisfied.
We also hope that it will be a useful resource for the resident population who can benefit from having a directory of businesses that are assured of making them welcome.
We're not trying to be militant and we're not attempting to turn the world gay. We all live live together and we are hoping to promote this island so it can be recognised for the truly wonderful place it is.
Come, woo me, woo me; for now I am in a holiday humor, and like enough to consent.

so why gaylanzarote.net ?
There are a couple of sites that provide information for the gay traveller coming to the island but we wanted to go a step further and tell you more about the island as a destination, what to do, what to see etc. and froma more personal point of view.
Our advertising criteria is a little different too. Firstly, we carefully select companies where we have enjoyed excellent food or service. Professional businesses run by professional people who care about their clientele.
Then, secondly, we invite you to comment on your experience and we'll pass on the feedback to ensure a better holiday experience for everyone. We have created a sister site which will have live posts from our visitors who want to share discoveries and opinions. Visit our blog site for more information.
You won't find anything listed that hasn't been experienced by at least one of us and we hope that will go some way to taking the hassle out of where to go when you first arrive.
If you make a great discovery, let us know and we'll try it out!
what about the sex ?
That's not what we're about. You won't find lists of cruising grounds, bars and darkrooms. Lanzarote has yet to have those facilites.
We have just one dedicated gay bar in Puerto Del Carmen. The great Black and White is located in Centro Comercial Atlantico in Puerto Del Carmen and is the central meeting point for gay men and women on the island.
However, connections to Gran Canaria are so simple it is possible to pop over for a hedonistic night followed by a mornings shopping in Las Palmas and still have Lanzarote as your tranquil base.
Inter island planes are about as complicated as catching the bus to your local chippy! Quick, frequent and cost effective they allow you to really make the most of the Canary Islands.
