A native to the Fargo-Moorhead area, my roots run deep in the Red River Valley. The Valley has produced a variety of inspirational experiences which have influenced my mixed media art.
As a taxidermist I learned to work with a handful of materials and forms. In many of my pieces I use found objects such as deer horns, feathers, fur and twigs.
Working as a tattoo artist strengthened my ability to visualize and respect process. I feel tattooing gave my work edge and influenced my subject matter. After exploring the world of ink and skin I ventured in to the universe of clay and dirt.
Ceramics fulfilled my appetite for texture and satisfied my sculptural though process. My zeal for ceramics lead Midwest Mud, an art studio, located in downtown Fargo. Ceramics is still my true passion, but I am always looking for a new adventure.
