is rooted in an awareness of our interconnectivity between art & the urban environments. Design removable ecoskins with pure focus on integrating true geometric forms to enable anyone to create a new unique warmth that is all their own with timeless shapes and colors. Stripped clean of industry dictations of the commonly known definition of fashion. Design clothing that integrates art w/ architecture as well as the core purpose to use this medium as a tool to fulfill a social and eductional function.In these rapidly changing times N:F:P fosters the concept of transition, transformation and evolution. Gail Travis has designed a series of clothing centered around pure geormetric shapes and styles that are of the moment, but not bound by time. Each piece has the ability to link, layer, fold, snap, shift or connect; creating a platform for personal expression and creativity encouraging NEW FORMS & PERSPECTIVES. N:F:P offers an ongoing invitation to re-examine and reinvent, therby securing the sustainability of each garment as it changes from new to old and back to new through its capacity to link to each new design series.NEW FORM PERSPECTIVE is designed to emphasize the idea of freedom of expression by creatively pairing geometric forms with modern materials. Through the soft curves of wrapping seams, calculated signature snap placements, these tools conceptually create ways to wrap and twist around the body offering a sense of support, encouragement, and coziness. Utilizing seamless knitting techniques and versatile/transformational structures, N:F:P promotes a lifestyle of resourcefullness and conscious consumerism by developing designs which allow the wearer to play and have fun. Therefore aiding in opening our mindsets as a consumer, and promoting the necessary for each of us to embrace our unique new forms and perspectives through open, unrestricted movement and thought.The knitted sweaters, dresses and accessories build on a foundation of jersey cami tops, tanks and leggings that form the wearers personal blueprint foundations. In addition N:F:P (also known as NIT:FELT:PHRAME) presents a unique line of tunics, dresses and floor-length gowns using a signature hand felting technique, one of the oldest methods of fabric making. NEW FORM PERSPECTIVE marries felting with diaphanous sheer silks & featherweight jerseys in subtle, muted colors creating one-of-a-kind sophisticated, modern foils for layering the knits.Designer Gail Travis resides in Beacon, NY. She works out of her studio/storefront at 457 Main Street which offers a window for passerbys into the creative process. After working for high-end fashion houses such as Calvin Klein, Shelly Steffee, and Vera Wang, Gail has fatefully been guided to design her own brand free from mainstream trends. Her collection is inspired by her surroundings, personal interactions, movement, architecture and sculpture. Ultimately these inspirations morph into the modular, constructivist building-block concept of her design process. Gail continuously searchs for clarity & structure through designing NEW FORM PERSPECTIVE in ways that strive to convey universal truth and harmony. Through collaborations with artist of all mediums, N:F:P plans to share a new lifestyle of interconnectedness with all our surroundings and personal interactions with others.
