One in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection is crucial for the survival of this disease. Statistics show that lumps as small as 1 cm that can't be felt during monthly breast exams, can be detected on mammograms. 98% of all breast cancer patients survive when the disease is found early on. Having regular mammograms, at least once per year after age 40, is the best screening technique currently available.
The Hot Pink Mamas will be sponsoring Full Throttle For The Tatas a benefit Motorcycle Poker run to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. The funds raised will pay for mammograms for women in the local area that do not have insurance and do not qualify for Medicaid. Funds will also be donated to the Med West Breast Cancer Center, to purchase
Post -Op garments for women that can't financially afford to purchase them.

The Hot Pink Mamas are a group of women ranging in age from 23 to 50.
We all have two things in common:
1. We love Motorcycles
2. We are all women
We want to raise Awareness of Breast Cancer and the need to have this horrible disease diagnosed in it's earliest of stages.
With the community's help, funds raised will be used to pay for mammograms for underserved women in Western North Carolina.
