Fequency Bender was formed in the summer of 2010 in South Philadelphia. Originally known as "Water Tribe", the group became known as "Frequency Bender" after drummer Tom Nelson joined the group. Frequency Bender has played local Philly venues such as The Blockely Pourhouse, The Millcreek Tavern, and the Adobe Cafe, with artists such as E-Funk, Hamburger Hunt, Little Brown Chair, and Psychadelphia. Frequency Bender incorporates a broad range of musical styles and genres ranging from reggae to funk, Hard Rock to Electronica, all with a heavy influence of improvisation. Our goal is to provided audience members with the best live music experience possible, while gaining a close positive relationship with our fans, as they are the most important part of the live music experience.
