Ever since I I got on this nutrition kick, I began to realise how important it is to eat home cooked meals more often. I also realized that I needed some more nutritious ways to cook some of my favorite foods. I decided to look around and try some recipes that are simple, nutritious, and delicious! Oh! I'm sure you're wondering why I call it sexy cooking... well, it's cooking the food that keeps you on your personal level of sexiness!

This is What I Do!
Fitness and Nutrition
I love working out because it makes me feel good. I like knowing I've done something good for my body when I had the choice to sit and watch tv. It feels even better when I notice results, and it is a great stress reliever on a bad day. Most of the time, people stop working out because the routine gets boring, or there is not enough time in the day to hit the gym. Well, if you are serious about having a healthier body, you will find a way... a healthy way!
Most of the time, you are going to have to change your eating habits. I know how hard this can be because I used to eat anything I wanted and I would stay skinny(skinnier than I desired). When I gained more than my desired weight, I tried switching to a no carb diet and I was a grouchy Bitch! But I did a little research and found that you are going to need some carbs to burn off if you are going to excercise. I also looked into a book titled "Eat This, Not That," which advises you about the products you buy, and helps you lose wieght without actually going on a diet. I personally used this to help transition my brain into wanting to eat healthier, rather than taking the full plunge. I also began to read a health magazine for women called "Fitness", which introduced me to new excercises, food choices, and even health issues I should be aware of. Of course I suggest you research these magazines, and if you decide to buy them monthly I suggest going online because you can get really good discounts!
I know the same workout routine everyday can be boring, so if you are thinking of a gym membership, I would definately research the choices any gym has to offer. Definately ask the sales rep if your member ship includes one gym or all gyms they provide. One chain of gyms might not have all the same amenities in all of thier locations. I like 24 Hour Fitness because I can go whenever I want and the classes they provide are intense (except for the aqua fitness which is good if you have bad joints). If I don't feel like jogging, I can take Turbo Kick Boxing, Amp'd Abs, Step, Hip Hop, Yoga, etc. Taking a class can motivate you to continue when you feel like quitting, and gives you a goal to work up to like, "I'm going to work my way up till I can finish this class without taking a break!" If you don't have time or money for the the gym, then push yourself to try a workout-at-home DVD. Even if it is the same routine, it will motivate you to try more, and it is still less expensive.

Recipe of the Month!
Tired of turkey and veggie versions of what you're really craving? Finally, you can relish the real thing -- without blowing your diet.
By the editors of FITNESS magazine
Build a Better Burger
Makes: 6 servings
1 slightly beaten egg white
2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely shredded carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
1 pound lean ground beef
6 whole-grain buns
Lettuce, tomato slices, and red-onion slices
1. Combine egg white, water, bread crumbs, carrot, onion, bell pepper, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
2. Add Parmesan and beef; mix. Shape into six 1/2-inch-thick patties.
3. Grill burgers on an oiled grill rack for 7 minutes. Turn and grill 8 to 11 minutes more, or until no pink remains.
4. Serve burgers on buns with veggies.
Nutrition facts per serving: 232 calories, 18g protein, 19g carbohydrate, 9g fat (3g saturated), 3g fiber
Better Than Cheddar
A slice of cheddar adds 113 calories. Mix Parmesan into the patties for a burst of flavor -- and less than one fat gram per burger, says Susan Mitchell, RD, PhD, coauthor of Fat Is Not Your Fate.
Spread Yourself Thin
Mustard, ketchup, and barbecue sauce are low-cal and fat-free. Mad about mayo? Skip the real deal in favor of a light canola version for heart-healthy fats and a fraction of the calories.
Swap Meat
Just look for "ground round" or "ground sirloin" to ensure you're getting a lean cut of beef, Mitchell suggests.
On a Roll
Before you put those buns in your shopping cart, check that the first or second ingredient is whole grain or whole wheat. Each bun should have at least three grams of fiber.
Produce Punch
Packing the patties with bell peppers, carrots, and onions is a sneaky way to add nutrients as well as juiciness.

Fruits and Veggies
In addition to trying to keep a low-calorie diet, it is always helpful to know the foods that are okay to snack on in between meals. Fruits and veggies are yummy! And they cost a lot less than your 100 calorie snacks. Those 100 calorie snacks are a bit small and I always found myself eating another one to satisfy the craving. But if you have to have that bit of sweetness, have a snack bar and a piece of fruit!
Below are some simple charts showing the calorie count of popular fruits and veggies.

You Model Too? Oh Yeah!
One of my favorite hobbies is modeling. I originally started hoping for a break into entertainment. It was a mistake to think it would be somewhat easy. Learning how to pose, the variety of poses, how to do make up and hair, what outfits look good on me and on camera, having my own thoughts and ideas for photoshoots... everything took a lot of focus and research and creativity. Even though modeling was never one of my major goals, I have grown to love taking pictures and respect those who have been successful. I still take my photo shoots very seriously whenever I get the chance to shoot. I am very easy going and fun to work with so if there are any photographers out there who would like to shoot, please feel free to contact me. I currently don't charge any rates and I'm hoping to collaborate with photographers who may benefit from me as equally as I may benefit from them. Lets get creative!
