Skate Missionaries
Uli and Toni started Christian Skaters in 2005 with partners Mike Pechonis & Joe Ferraro. Uli and Toni both have their unique stories about how the Lord brought them into Skate Ministry, but together they have a heart to impact the world.
Toni grew up skateboarding & surfing. She went to college for Engineering, then left after three years and opened a store that featured art, music & skate. She was then given a job designing clothing for a skateboarding company and
worked in artist relations & promotions for a major concert promoter. She met Uli at her shop and years later the were married. After their first child, Toni was given the opportunity to run a children/youth ministry and write cirriculum. She then was given the opportunity to work full-time with Ramp 48+ Skatepark Ministry.
Ulises skated as a child, but his story begins after he & Toni were married. He was working at a job building pools and walked into a local skatepark on his way to party with some friends. When he walked in, he noticed they were holding a Bible study and sat down to listen. Before he knew it, he was giving his life over to Christ and continues to live each day for Him. A year later he was asked to come on staff at Ramp 48+ Skatepark Ministry. The Lord continues to bless him and has given him a desire to serve Him. He has co-hosted a Christian Hip-Hop radio show, spoken around the world, helped build skate ministries, and also serves in youth and outreach ministry.
Christian Skaters started from a dream and, as they continue to step out in faith to follow this vision, the Lord continues to give this family a heart to reach skaters on a global level. Christian Skaters partners with ministries in over 90 countries. Uli and Toni hope to spend summers traveling with their kids, building relationships, and helping others to plat skate churches around the globe. They ask for your prays and support in our mission.
