PAWS is an organization founded by France Beard, Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen 2011-2012. As her platform, France, along with the Madison Ark's team of volunteers and shelters employees, strive to provide a home away from home to all its rescued pets. Through PAWS, France encourages Madison Ark adoptions, hoping to establish long lasting, loving relationships between rescued pets and their new owners.
PAWS: Promoting Animals Worth Saving hopes to encourage families to adopt rescued animals from local shelters like the Madison Ark. PAWS also helps families to see the benefits of owning or rescuing a shelter animal such helping their local community, teaching children the responsibilities of owning a pet, and increasing physical activity amoung the youth.
