My name is Todd c. Hartman and I'm a professional photographer based in Oakland, CA. I've captured or created images in various forms since 1989 and that experience has made me very versatile in fashion, fine art, editorial, film production stills, event photography and product.
I love natural light and the soft look it can give a model, but I can also create some stunning imagery with flash, always-on bulbs and homemade hand-held lights.
My BFA is from the Academy of Art University, in San Francisco (cum laude 2005) and was for visual effects and computer animation. I've worked on films with budgets from zero to several million dollars as a visual effects artist, sound designer, makeup artist or photographer. And on some films, I did it all at the same time! I've enjoyed most working with one image at a time to create my finished images, while using the same skill set that we use on moving images for film visual effects.

I tend to make people feel at ease when I talk with them. This is a great benefit when shooting events, as there are a lot of people out there who just hate having their picture taken! I've heard so many people tell me that they're not photogenic and no one has ever taken a good picture of them! Their smiles, gasps and giggles are inevitable, though, once I snap 2 or 3 images and they see "the best photo [they've] ever had taken!"

I'm the regular House Photographer for Kinky Salon parties in San Francisco and I traveled to Amsterdam to document and help create the first ever KS in Holland, as well as Copenhagen and London. Part of my time was spent shooting material for my upcoming documentary, "Kinky Salon - Fully Exposed."
